Are the groups even?
Always as even as the numbers allow: group sizes never differ by more than one. 26 pupils in 4 groups gives 7, 7, 6 and 6.
What is the difference between “number of groups” and “group size”?
“Number of groups” makes exactly that many groups. “Group size” makes groups of about that size and never larger: 24 pupils in groups of 5 gives five groups of 5, 5, 5, 5 and 4.
Will the groups change if the page reloads?
No. The last set of groups is kept in your browser until you make new ones or change the class list, so an accidental refresh in front of the class changes nothing.
Can I get the groups out of the page?
Yes — “Copy as text” puts them on the clipboard, one group per line, ready for a message, a slide or a spreadsheet.
